Lever Float Steam Trap
Continuous Condensate Drainage for High-Efficiency Steam Systems
Product Overview
The Lever Float Steam Trap is a mechanical steam trap designed to discharge condensate continuously while preventing valuable live steam from escaping. Using the density difference between steam and condensate, the stainless steel float rises and falls with the condensate level, driving the lever mechanism to open or close the valve automatically. This ensures continuous drainage, high thermal efficiency, and stable operation across a wide range of steam applications.
Equipped with an integrated thermostatic air vent, the trap rapidly removes start-up air and non-condensable gases, allowing process equipment to reach operating temperature faster and improving overall heat transfer efficiency.
Features & Benefits
Continuous Condensate Discharge
Unlike intermittent discharge steam traps, the lever float mechanism continuously removes condensate as it forms, preventing condensate backup and maximizing heat transfer efficiency.
Excellent Air Venting
Built-in thermostatic air vent quickly expels air and non-condensable gases during start-up, reducing warm-up time and improving process performance.
Zero Steam Leakage
Precision-machined valve and seat provide tight sealing to minimize live steam loss and reduce energy consumption.
Resistant to Water Hammer
The robust mechanical design withstands severe condensate loads and water hammer, ensuring reliable long-term operation.
High Condensate Capacity
Suitable for applications with heavy condensate loads and variable operating conditions.
Long Service Life
Hardened internal components and corrosion-resistant materials provide extended maintenance intervals.
Easy Maintenance
Top cover design allows internal inspection and maintenance without removing the trap from the pipeline.
Operating Principle
As condensate enters the trap body, the float rises due to buoyancy. Through the lever mechanism, the discharge valve gradually opens, allowing condensate to flow out continuously.
When condensate flow decreases, the float lowers and the valve closes tightly, preventing live steam leakage. Throughout operation, the thermostatic air vent automatically removes air and non-condensable gases, ensuring rapid system start-up and efficient heat transfer.
